First West Chester Fire Company No. 1
Station 51
The First West Chester Fire Company (Station 51) is the oldest of the three 100% volunteer fire companies that comprise the West Chester Fire Department. The company was incorporated August 8, 1799 and is one of the oldest all-volunteer continuously serving fire companies in the Commonwealth. The Station is currently located at South Bradford Avenue and West Miner Street in East Bradford Township. The company was originally quartered within the Borough limits on West Market Street, then on South Church Street, before moving to the current station in 1989. Four pieces of apparatus operate from Station 51; two engines, a brush truck, and a squad.
Visit the First West Chester Fire Company website for more information.
