West Goshen Township, PA - September 24, 2021

On September 23, 2021 at approximately 7:51 PM, the WCFD was dispatched to Metallurgical Products Company, located in the 800 block of Lincoln Ave., West Goshen Township for a fire alarm.

While responding, Chester County 911 reported an active fire at the property. The incident was upgraded, dispatching the remaining WCFD companies along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Whiteland Fire Company, Goshen Fire Company, and the Chester County Hazardous Materials Team.
Crews located the fire in the production area of the facility. The fire was ultimately contained to a furnace area where materials are melted for production.

The incident was eventually turned over to the property owners and fire units cleared at approximately 12:30 AM on September 24, 2021.

Also assisting WCFD at the incident was the Paoli Fire Company, Rocky Run Fire Company, Aston Twp. Fire Dept and Bethel Twp. Hose Co.#1
