May 20, 2023

Today, the WCFD travel to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus in Coatesville for “Day in the Life” training.
Crews were dispatched to multiple types of incidents throughout the day. Some incidents included car fires, dumpster fires, rubbish fires, elevator rescues, carbon monoxide incidents, and building fires.

Everyone was challenged to safety mitigate each situation. We were also challenged in some scenarios with streets being blocked off, with the same barriers we have for the Gay Street closure.

Special thanks to our standby companies Gladwyne Volunteer Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company and the Chester County Instructor Staff.
