Just after 8:00 PM the WCFD (Good Will Fire Company #2 of West Chester) was alerted for a fire alarm at the Metropolitan Apartments, 300 block of East Marshall Street, West Chester Borough.

While responding, the incident was upgraded to a building fire alerting the remainder of the WCFD, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, Goshen Fire Company and West Whiteland Fire Company.

Crews arrived to locate a smoke condition inside and after further investigation, the cause was found to be a cooking mishap. The incident was held to WCFD units while smoke was cleared from the property.
