West Chester Borough, PA - December 23, 2021

At approximately 4:19 AM this morning, the WCFD along with Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Chester Borough Police Department and area departments were dispatched to a building fire at the University Court Apartments, 700 block of South Franklin Street, West Chester Borough.

WCFD Chief Officers arrived to find heavy fire conditions from the roof of the building. Numerous hand lines were placed in-service along with elevated waterways during the incident.

Three (3) firefighters were evaluated for minor injuries and released. No civilian injuries were reported.

A second alarm was alerted before the fire was placed under control at approximately 5:45 AM.

The fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office at this time.
