West Chester Borough, PA - December 11, 2021

At approximately 12:00 PM the WCFD, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, West Chester Borough Police Department along with mutual aid were dispatched to the Sharpless Works Apartments, 300 East Evans Street, West Chester Borough for a reported building fire.

While WCFD Chief Officers were responding, information was provided that a person was still inside the apartment. An unconscious tenant was located in a bedroom and rescued by a WCFD firefighter. The person was evaluated by EMS and turned over to WCPD.

The incident was down graded quickly as the source of the incident was found to be items left on the stove. WCFD ventilated the apartment and cleared a short time later.
